Issue:

When installing Solo or other stand-alone I get a warning saying "Could not write updated MCR_INHIBIT_CTF_LOCK to HKLM"

Possible Solutions:

This warning can be safely ignored. On some systems, starting up multiple copies of Solo, Solo_Predictor, or other stand-alone Eigenvector applications can lead to competition over some of the application files. To help avoid this, the installer attempts to set a flag in the user's environment variables.

On some systems, the user may not have sufficient permissions to create this flag and the result is the warning message shown. Since the flag solves a rare issue, the warning can be safely ignored.
