Drill Tool

The Drill Tool allows plotting of Mode 3 (variable mode) data of an image (drill image). To open the Drill Tool, make sure only a single image in PlotGUI is displayed then click on the Drill Tool button. A plot will immediately appear to the right of the drill image. When the mouse cursor is dragged over the drill image the mode 3 data at the mouse cursor location will be plotted. When the drill image is clicked a small circle will appear indicating the location (Drill Point). This drill point can then be dragged by the mouse to a new location. Additional drill points can be added by double clicking on the Drill Image. Right-click white space in the drill point plot to show a context menu where a separate plot can opened with the drill points pre-selected or the specific drill point data can be extracted and saved to the workspace.

The Drill Tool can be used in conjunction with the Magnify Tool.
